One of the most common problems I come across when listing a home for sale is Clutter. A home is your own space and often we fill it with personal kee psakes. A potential home buyer needs to be able to envision their personal items in the home. I always reccommend my clients to clear out the clutter. Removing family pictures, collectables, and other items you accumulate through out the years. The trophy buck mounted in the den may be your pride and joy but may be offensive to a potential buyer. When selling your home, remember you are selling the home, not your items. Often times there is just not enough space to store extra items. A great solution to this is P.O.D.S (Portable On Demand Storage) . They will bring a storage unit to your home and you can fill it with the items cluttering up your home. They will then take it to a climate controlled facility or to any location you desire.
Some people groan at the thought of a Realtor telling you not to sell your OWN HOME. Some Realtors have a reputation of being as classy as the stereotypical used car salesman- and many believe that Realtors are paid thousands of dollars just to stick a sign in your yard.
