Tips for an Open House

Look in you local newspaper, in the classified real estate section, to determine which is the most popular day for your open house.

* Schedule your open house at least one week in advance.

* Restrict the total open hours to 3 or 4, (i.e., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) to reduce your wear and tear of waiting for buyers. It also increases the odds of people visiting simultaneously. This may be a bit hectic, but it enhances the sale atmosphere of creating interest by one prospect seeing another looking at the house at the same time they are.

RE/MAX Results was featured today WCYB TV 5 (NBC Affiliate) in Bristol Today. Managing Broker Mike Corash was interviewed for his thoughts on the TriCities TN/VA Real Estate Market. The newscenter 5 team travelled to one of our listings and Realtors Gary Taylor and Tammy Hawk went along with Mike to do some on the scene filming. Mike gave his thoughts on the economy and the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates. It was a nice piece for our office and some great advertising. Showing yet again the power of the RE/MAX brand. RE/MAX International Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger commented on the federal government's economic stimulus plan and its possible effects on the housing market as a guest on CNBC's "Power Lunch" on Friday, Jan. 25.

Liniger, one of five panelists on the show, joined the live television discussion from the RSN studios at RE/MAX International Headquarters in Denver. He provided his personal opinions on the proposed limits for conforming loans and the changes they might bring to the real estate industry.
